I’ve already circumnavigated the globe in my lifetime’s travels (departed from Los Angeles and returned at New York city) and have visited twenty plus countries from the asian, african, mediterranean, northern european, carribean and central american areas. I still would like to visit the open-nature area of Argentina called patagonia, and although I’ve been lucky enough to visit europe several times, I would also like to see St Petersburg Russia, as I’ve heard it is very beautiful…….Hold the press, how could I forget this!…If our stupid Cuban embargo is ever lifted you can count on me to be one of the first to visit Havana and the rest of the island.

My dream is a vacation to Bora Bora. I would love to stay for a week in a bunglow over the water looking at the beach the whole time. HEAVEN!

I too have traveled the world, but my dream vacation is a bit more simple. I’d like to drive around the US in a little two seat convertible with my wife. We’d carry no luggage, just buy a new set of clothes each day and throw them away each night. We’d eat at local restaurants, go bowling, take lots of pictures and take in a movie once in a while. We’d hit all the big tourist spots and cities, as well as all the unknown places in between. We’d take in baseball games and maybe a few concerts. Seeing the most beautiful country in the world at our own pace. That’s a dream worth living.
"Hit the Road" gives you a chance to talk about where you're going, where you've been and the luggage that got lost along the way. Post-Dispatch travel writer Tom Uhlenbrock and travel editor Judy Evans blog about all things related to getting away.
