An Old Time Christmas to Open at Silver Dollar City
Silver Dollar City, the 1880s-style theme park in Branson, will celebrate “An Old Time Christmas” Nov. 7-Dec. 30, turning the park into an evening wonderland.
The displays include the Christmas on Main Street light and sound show, 1,000 decorated Christmas trees, a Holiday Light Parade, the Broadway-style production of “A Dickens’ Christmas Carol,” holiday foods and more than four million lights.
The park’s centerpiece is a five-story Christmas Tree with movements synchronized to Christmas songs.
The park’s craft makers will showcase handmade holiday items, from blown glass ornaments, angels and snowmen to hand-woven white oak baskets and pine-scented candles.
The culinary school will mark the holiday with classes on Christmas specialties such as cranberry dishes and ginger cookies.
Silver Dollar City is open Thursday through Sunday through Dec. 20. It also is open Wednesday, Nov. 25, and daily Dec. 26-30. Hours are 1-9 p.m. Adult admission is $55, children are $44. For information, call 1-800-831-4386, or visit silverdollarcity.com.
