Can the Blues land Shan the Man?
Earlier, Hockey Guy endorsed this as a no-brainer for the Note. Brendan Shanahan could help this team as a scorer and as a marketing asset.
He could pay for himself in ticket and sweater sales. Dave Checketts agreed, since he decided to make a play on him.
The Rangers don’t have a roster spot for Shanahan, something he finally realized. New York could be trying to do something much bigger, like land Mats Sundin.
Shanahan preferred to stay East, but those teams don’t have the cap room or the inclination to go after him. The Blues aren’t rich, but they have cap room . . . and like we said, this would be marketing magic.
Adding Shanahan would give Andy Murray the leverage to force his forwards — especially his kids, who can drift — to complete for spots ont he scoring line.
Stay tuned . . .

I heard that if we sign Shanny, that we’ll have to give EJ to the Rangers.
Blues players better lock up their wives if Shanny comes back.
stop living in the past. shanny would take minutes away from developing players for what? a chance for the 8th playoff spot? no thanks. id rather the kids get their work in.
