Blues Almost Tie Game, But Don’t
The Blues soon got a full 2-minute power play and the chance to pull again. Once again, they were underwhelming with the man advantage.
With Cam Janssen back out of the lineup, they weren’t especially physical either.
Patrik Berglund created an nice opportunity by getting the puck toward the net with a nifty play. But the Note didn’t convert.
Mike Crombeen thought he had a goal, but his shot clipped the far post and stayed out.
Some pesky forechecking by David Backes created another chance. Canucks goaltender Roberto Luongo feared the puck slid through him. It had not.
T.J. Oshie had a clean break-in on left wing, but passed instead of shot. The Blues got a power play out of the rush, but didn’t convert it before the first period ended.
