Among the first folks to reach their seats Friday night was a father-son tandem down in section 122. Dad wore a Manny Legace sweater and the kid wore Paul Kariya’s number.
Who could have imagined that neither of these key veterans would play a role in the team’s late-season surge?
Good to see a Gordie Roberts No. 4 sweater down by the glass. Another guy was decked out in a Brent Johnson sweater.
Up in the press box, NHL scouts Steve Leach and Rich Sutter — two former Blues wingers — must have been tempted to scan the crowd to see if anybody was wearing their old sweaters, too.
