The 2-2 Battle Roars On
The Blues had to restart themselves after the untimely intermission. Had they not run out of time in the second period, they would have scored the go-ahead goal.
Whether the officials would have counted it is another matter.
At the end of an extra-long shift, Barret Jacket rushed up the puck right wing and connected with Andy McDonald breaking to the net. The play clicked, but Roberto Luongo held the fort.
Chris Mason countered with a great save of his own, robbing ex-Blue Pavol Demitra with a right skate save. The old Demitra would have scored there, but Pavol is a shell of his former self these days.
