Final Blues Pick: David Shields
He is a 6-foot-3 defenseman. He barely made some draft lists, so it could be a long while coming.
TSN’s interview with John Davidson was interesting. While discussing the team’s young nucleus, J.D. did not include David Perron on that list.
Hmmmm . . .
Hockey Guy loves “White Skates,” but we may be fighting a losing battle in this corner of cyberspace.
While discussing Alex Pietrangelo, Davidson noted that another year of junior hockey and another run at the World Junior Championship could be in Alex’s future. On the other hand, Al MacInnis noted some physical progress with the ‘08 first-round pick.

it stumps me why Perron is still in the trade rumors, especially after the playoffs. if I was in charge, he’d be staying….
Wow, it seems like the Blues really want to peddle Perron. At least Pronger is no longer an option, that would of been insane, talk about taking 2 steps back if that ever happened. Well if Perron goes, it better be a deal that makes sense and for a player that has a future to offer unlike Pronger who is in the last few years of his career now.
Disappointed the Blues didn’t go after Boumeester from Florida, it doesn’t seem like the Flames gave up a lot for him. Jackman and Pietrangelo for Boumeester? Throw in a draft pick, so what. If the Blues could of convinced Florida to take Jackman, that would of unloaded a lot of cash to sign Boumeester to a new contract. They should of took a shot at this.
BillP,
Calgary only traded for the RIGHTS to negotiate with JBo before 7/1. I believe all they gave up was a 3rd for him. They would have jumped all over that offer from the Blues, but that would have been a stupid trade on our part.
