Blues Roar To 2-0 Lead

The Blues converted their second power play with a tic-tac-toe play. Andy McDonald fired a pass from the right boards to the left circle to Brad Boyes.

Boyes fired the puck toward the net and Keith Tkachuk deflected it into the net. That gave the Blues a 2-0 lead just 7 minutes, 12 seconds into the game.

Do you suppose the Blues were fired up for this tilt?

The Blues didn’t convert the second half of the four-minute power play, but they established firm control of the game by sustaining their pressure — even into the next even-strength shift.
