‘Ella’ ends season on a high note

Tina Fabrique is terrific as Ella Fitzgerald in ‘Ella,’ the Rep’s last Mainstage production of the season. It’s half play, half concert, and a whole lot of fun. A nice choice to slide into the summer. Read Judy Newmark’s review.
The stage design was great, reminiscent of a 1966 concert hall in France.
Just make sure to have some coffee before the show. When the lights go down and that silky smooth voice takes over, it can lull you to sleep.
