Welcome to the media circus. I'm Charles Williams, online entertainment editor and operator of this ride.
WORD OF WARNING: We saw Mayer 4-5 years ago when he was here for the first time…he was fine but the AUDIENCE at Verizon was a Grade A nightmare. I would say that more than 50% of them were between 15-19 years old…obnoxious, loud, talking ON THEIR CELL PHONES almost non-stop during his performance…absolutely hideous.
If it wasn’t for the fact that the tix were freebies from a friend who does promotions for a radio station, I would have had a melt-down on the spot.
It was truly a Teen Beat fiasco from start to finish.
I received 4th row from the L83 pre-sale yesterday! Very excited about the show and ready for the 4 hour trip to STL for it. At least I don’t have to wait until Mayercraft Carrier 2009 to see him live again.
I have been to see JM for the last 3 or 4 years. His audience has changed since he first started. I would say that most of the people that frequent his shows now are women and MEN anywhere from late 20s to mid 40s. He puts on a great show and is well worth your time and money.
