Snakes will charm kids who like to hike
St. Louis Post-Dispatch
Kids love to run into snakes while hiking in the woods. But why leave such a fun encounter to chance?
I recently discovered Lizard King Arts in Lake Tahoe. They make handmade hiking staffs in the shape of slithering snakes. Choose from a variety of snake patterns.
A stick for a kid is about 40 inches long and costs $29. Adult sticks cost $34 and “wizard” sticks cost $39. There are less expensive sticks around but none will look as cool to a 7-year-old. They make great birthday gifts for the summer.
