hmmm…i’ve never heard anything about Farotto’s being the originator of toasted ravioli before. it was invented on the hill sometime in the 1930’s or 1940’s either at Oldani’s restaurant or Angelo’s restaurant(which is currently Charlie Gitto’s).

Farroto’s in Rock Hill hands down. It ain’t even a question, they are gold!
Cunnettos!
I’m sure the restaraunts listed have very good TR. My favorite place is Fresh Italy in Florissant, MO. They make theirs fresh in the restaraunt.
Trattoria Marcella toasted ravs are hand made and twice the filling in each rav that you get at the other places. Definitely a good value.
Could we get a little love for the meatless toasted rav’s? McGurk’s and Mr. B’s on the Hill have the best of those in my opinion.
Rigazzi’s has the best because thet are not breaded. You get to taste the ravioli and melted cheese topping, rather than just bread crust. The dipping sauce is very good also.
Farotto’s has fantastic homemade ravioli . . . it’s a must have and i’ve had it at Trattoria Marcella, Charlie Gitto’s and Lombardo’s and I would say it still wins . . . Charlie Gitto’s is definitely up there though!
Lemp Mansion. They are not your typical square pillow toasted raviolis. They look and taste homemade.
