I tried STL Sport Zone’s last night. Surprisingly, one of the best I’ve had.

The worst toasted ravioli I’ve ever had was Charlie Gitto’s on the Hill. My wife and I went there for our 5 year anniversary and the server dropped the serving tongs on the floor when he brought the ravioli out. To substitute, he used his bare hands to serve them. It was appalling. The sad part is that it was that was not the worst part of the service we received there. I’d vote any other restaurant on the list above Charlie Gitto’s.

Farotto’s in Rock Hill is tops. I’ve eaten the toasted ravs almost everywhere in town. Their own recipe is it! Not like the standard, rehashed at other places.

Sarah: The ravs at Gentelin’s (in Alton) are meatless! They’re filled with mushrooms, and the shell is a wonton instead of pasta. De-licious.
