Box Office Poll: ‘Twilight’ or ‘Quantum’?
Who should be afraid?
Art is subjective. Cold hard cash is not. Betting lunch on box office results has become a side attraction for H-O-F carnies at the Post (and the Beacon).
This weekend, ‘Quantum of Solace’ takes its $70 million swagger into the cage against ‘Twilight.’
Betting on Bond seems like a no-brainer. After all, there is a history that goes back 22 films. I prepped my taste buds for the best kind of meal — free.
But then I went to Ronnie’s last night for a preview screening of ‘Australia.’ The line for ‘Twilight’ extended out the door and into the entry lobby. Throngs of teenage girls had blankets, chairs and various camping stuff that would make any Boy Scout jealous. Some were there at 6:30 p.m. for the midnight show.
So what’s your take? Will the the super sleuth slay the vampire by the end of the year?
