His first band was The Cheynes. At that time, Mick handled keyboard not the drums.

Mick Fleetwood first played in a band called The Cheynes. Then he went on to play for the Bo Street Runners, Peter B’s and in John Mayall’s Blues Breakers before forming his own band with John McVie.
