My wanderlust has taken me everywhere from Australia to Costa Rica to Italy. I’ve known the pleasure of staying in swanky hotels and the toil of living out of a backpack for a year.

From 1999-2002, I wrote 161 Cyber Travel columns, but the dot-com bubble eventually burst and there was less to write about.

Now, I’d like to try something a little different — one-minute videos that highlight destinations. Let me know what you think and if you’d like to see more.

Mr. Williams,
I like the Travel Minute idea. Good job for you coming up with this. Yes, let’s see more. Oh, the places you will go.

Charles,

This is a great idea, and I really enjoyed learning about this lodge. Where are you going next?

I especially like the concept of identifying affordable places to go. In this economy, cost is a real consideration when choosing a vacation destination.

Yes, I think this is a great idea! Please show more destinations in 3-4 hours within the Metro St. Louis area!

I stayed at the Abe Martin for a couple of days last summer. Young children love the indoor water park. And it has a great(increasing rare) Olympic-size outdoor pool that is good for kids learning to swim.
There is also horseback riding and nearby Nashville is fun.
But the food at the lodge needs improving!

This is a good idea, Charles.

Yes. Holiday World is fun. Haven’t been there for a few years so I’ll have to check it out again.

If you go to this great state park and lodge, make sure you take in one of the shows at the Coachlight Musical Theater (http://www.coachlightmusicals.com/) in downtown Nashville, Indiana. We went the first week of May and the show was terrific and for a great price. It’s a don’t miss attraction in Brown County.

And no, I am in no way affiliated with this theater, but it was so much fun and entertaining. I’m 45yo and my sister and I took our mother for her 79th birthday and we all had a great time. It’s even good for young kids.
