Help pick Cardinals at-bat music
St. Louis Post-Dispatch
Thanks to amazing starting pitching, the Cardinals are on track to win another World Series. If only the Redbirds scored more runs.
Our solution — more BP, a stronger bench and really hot at-bat music.
To give the Cardinal bats a bit more “pop” this post season, Post-Dispatch writer and baseball freak Diane Toroian Keaggy is looking for ideas for new at-bat songs for the Cardinal starting lineup. The best suggestions will appear in the Oct. 4 A&E section along with her story that explores how players choose at-bat music.

Welcome to the media circus. I'm Charles Williams, online entertainment editor and operator of this ride.
Chris ‘Carpenters’-”We’ve only just begun”.
Would someone please use “Anger” by Downset, already?
“Anger…hostility towards the opposition…”.

Let’s see…
The first 30 seconds of the Dies Irae from Verdi’s Requiem could be fun.
Meat Beat Manifesto - Clubbed to Death is also another option.
Paul Van Dyk - Nothing but You (Cirrus Mix) could be a softer beaty option as well.
Yes, yes, even some of us in the the orchestral and electronica crowd are Cardinals fans.
Pujols - “You’re the Best”
Franklin - “We’re half way there”
“stillwater- fever”– for Holliday considering he’s from Stillwater Ok and the song is pretty bangin…

Warren Zevon’s Lawyers Guns and Money
basement jaxx “raindrops” will get the crowd going
Herb Alpert’s taste of honey for Pujols.
Billie ‘Holliday’- Ain’t Misbehavin’.
Beethoven’s 5th for Ryan Ludwick Van
Theme from the Godfather for Brendan Ryan because his De Niro is spot-on.
La cupula de lo prohibido - La Coctelera- Yadi yadi yadi!
if i were a ball player, my “coming to the plate” song would be the intro bass line and opening guitar riff from Muse’s “Hysteria”. no question! i hate hearing cliche AC/DC songs when batters come to the plate…
Off the top of my head –
Bruce Springsteen: I’m on Fire
Green Day: Time of your Life
Pink: So What
Phil Collins: In the Air Tonight
Sonny & Cher: The Beat Goes On
