“Kit Kittredge: An American Girl” features Jordan Rackley: a St. Louis girl

“Kit Kittredge: An American Girl” is one of the pleasant surprises of the summer, a family flick with a social consciousness and strong female characters.
One of those characters is played by Jordan Rackley, a 12-year-old from St. Louis who was cast after visiting the American Girl store in Chicago. Although Jordan has performed extensively on stage, this is her first movie.
Jordan will attend the 7:15 p.m. screening of the film on opening day, Wednesday, July 2, at the Ronnies Cine in South County. Afterwards she will sign posters and answer questions. Here’s one: is it true that the movie wrap party was at Chuck E. Cheese?
