The lure of the Moolah means 24 hours of “The Dark Knight”

St. Louis Post-Dispatch

Almost every theater that’s showing “The Dark Knight,” from multiplexes like Ronnie’s to single-screeners like the Hi-Pointe, will start the mania on Friday with a midnight showing. But the Moolah is upping the ante (and testing the stamina of its employees) with a solid day of the Caped Crusader–nine shows in 24 hours.

In addition to the midnight show, the showcase cinema at 3821 Lindell will have screenings at 3:00 a.m., 6:05 a.m., 9:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., 6:05 p.m., 9:10p.m. and 11:55 p.m. The 6:05 p.m. show is a fundraiser for childrenwithcancer.org. Tickets to that screening are $20, which also gets you a small popcorn and soda.Ticket to the 3:00a.m., 6:05 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. shows are matinee priced at $6.50 a ticket.

And remember: the Moolah has comfy couches, so if you want to do the marathon, you can hunker down for a quick snooze.

Oh if I didn’t have to work. That sounds like a fun day.

I’m looking forward to the movie, but it will be sad to see Heath Ledger’s last performance….
