Malcolm McDowell, the tough British actor who starred in Stanley Kubrick’s “A Clockwork Orange” and is a recurring character on NBC”s “Heroes” and HBO’s “Entourage,” will attend a screening of his star-making film Friday, Sept. 26, at Lindenwood University. At 7 p.m. in the new Peter Bezemes Family Theatre, McDowell will introduce “A Clockwork Orange,” the 1971 Beethoven-fueled fantasy about a near future of rampant gang violence. After the screening, McDowell will answer questions. (Here’s one from the gang down at the Korova Bar: Got milk?)

The Benzemes Theatre is located in the new Lindenwood Center for Fine & Performing Arts, 2300 West Clay Street in St. Charles. Tickets are $5 for student with ID, $10 for the general public. For more information, call the Box Office at 636.949.4433.

Does anyone know how to purchase tickets for this event? Nothing is on Lindenwood’s site or telecharge.com that you are referred to by the box office recorded message. This article is the only place I can find info on this event.

For ticket info, if that number doesn’t work, try Peter Carlos at Lindenwood, 636.949.4513, or send an email at pcarlos@lindenwood.edu.

Try the box office number (636-949-4433) during regular business hours on weekdays and you will be able to buy tickets that way. If the operators are busy at that moment, you’ll get the recording, but you should get through eventually.

I contacted Peter Carlos and was informed that tickets are not available for purchase until the day of show.
