She stripped for Jack Ruby. She dated Elvis. She kicked butt in Russ Myers’ soft-core thriller “Faster Pussycat Kill Kill.” The legendary Tura Satana should have a lot to reveal when she visits the Way Out Club tonight (Thursday) at 7:30 p.m. Along with a screening of her most famous flick, the evening will include a performance by the Lovely Lile La Blanc and her Dancing Girls and a set by local garage rockers the Geargrinders. (The Way Out Club is at 2525 S. Broadway. Call 314-664-7638 for more info.)

Satana’s appearance is a prelude to a whole weekend of wicked entertainment, at the Monstrous Weekend horror convention at the St. Louis Airport Marriott, Friday through Sunday. Satana is just one of the glittering guests scheduled to attend this fabulous fest. Others include legendary director George Romero (“Night of the Living Dead”), make-up maestro Tom Savini (“Friday the 13th”), scream queens Adrienne Barbeau (“The Fog”) and Dee Stone (“The Howling”), and performances by members of Blue Oyster Cult and the Alice Cooper Band. That’s an extraordinary lineup. If you’re a genre movie buff, you are morally obliged to support this inaugural event, sponsored by Kitbuilders Magazine. Tickets are $20 for one day or $34 for the whole weekend.
