St. Louis critics pick “Button,” Penn, Winslet
On Sunday, the 20-odd members of the St. Louis Film Critics group, whose year-end award nominees I listed here a few days ago, picked a diverse group of winners. No film won more than one of the major categories, suggesting that this year’s Oscar race may be a split ticket.
The St. Louis Film Critics group comprises movie reviewers from newpapers, magazines, broadcast stations and Web sites in the metro area. Here are their picks for 2008:
