Bela Fleck doc “Throw Down Your Heart,” Fri.-Sun. at Webster

Banjo virtuoso Bela Fleck is a favorite of folk-music fans in college towns and coffee shops across America. But in the new documentary “Throw Down Your Heart,” screening June 5 through June 7 at 8 p.m. at Webster University, Fleck gives us a new riff on “roots music,” as he traces the origins of his instrument not to Appalachia but to Africa.
