It may be more than a year away, but the restless spirits at Pixar have released a teaser trailer for “Toy Story 3,” the animation studio’s follow-up to the current hit “Up.” Here it is:

“Toy Story 3,” featuring the voices of Tom Hanks as cowboy Woody and Tim Allen as astronaut Buzz Lightyear, opens on June 18, 2010.

I will probably enjoy Toy Story 3, but I hope the final 3-D product will be better than the trailer. I saw the 3-D trailer at the beginning of UP. The 3-D feel in the Toy Story trailer was not good compared to the 3-D experience in UP. UP gave the feeling of a full, continuous space, whereas the Toy Story trailer was more like several 2-D planes at different distances from the viewer, and the motion of the characters was choppy rather than smooth and continuous.

JAMartin,
In Pixar’s defense, it’s just a teaser. I think we can assume, based on the quality of Pixar’s track record, that the final product won’t disappoint.
