Halloween options: “Rocky Horror” at the Tiv, frightfest at Skyview
As usual, Halloween should be a big weekend for horror movies, including the viral smash “Paranormal Activity,” the slasher installment “Saw VI” and the ghost story “Michael Jackson–This Is It.” But there are some spooktacular alternatives.
This weekend and next, the Tivoli will clear the cobwebs from “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” the bloodcurdling true story of road-tripping thrill killers “Brad” and “Janet,” who terrorize sweet transvestite Frank N. Furter and his boy Rocky. Screenings are at midnight Oct. 30 and 31and Nov. 6 and 7. The theater will provide bags of props, so save your rice and squirt guns for Sunday Mass. The Tivoli is at 6350 Delmar in University City.
And this Friday and Saturday, the Skyview Drive-in in Belleville will close out the season with horror-flick triple features on its two screens. Screen one will offer “Zombieland” and Rob Zombie’s “Halloween” and “Halloween 2.” The second screen wil offer “:Saw VI,” Saw I” and “Saw II.” The movies start at 7:30. The Skyview is at 5700 North Belt West, (618) 233-4400. Look for the iconic rocket-ship marquee:

Friday nite at House of Rock in Ronnies plaza there will be a Alice Cooper tribute band followed by a Rocky Horror Picture Show.
