Potentially, the most crowd-pleasing event scheduled for next month’s St. Louis International Film Festival might be the meet-greet-and-joke session with the members of Cinematic Titanic, the movie-spoofing troupe that features veterans of the cult TV show “Mystery Science Theater 3000.”

The mighty Titanic, captained by “MST3K” creator Joel Hodgson,  will be docking at the St. Charles Family Arena on Sat., Nov. 21., to unleash their barbs on a long-forgotten flick called “War of the Insects.” But to whip the locals into a ticket-buying frenzy,  the crew will steer to the Tivoli on Friday night, Nov. 20, to greet fans, peddle DVDs and demonstrate the fine art of deconstructing schlock cinema. The fun starts at 9:30.

Tickets for the Cinematic Titanic event at the Tivoli are $10 and are now available at the theater box office. Tickets for the show at the Family Arena are available through MetroTix.

Here’s a taste of what’s in store:

Do yourself a favor and see them because they put on an excellent show! Not only do you get to watch a bad movie while they riff on it,but you get to meet them afterwards. You can’t beat that!

Considering they’ve all worked together for MST3K 20th anniversary stuff lately, I don’t think we have to worry about their being a “feud” between different MST3K folks.
I just love that we have TWO options available now, and that they’re unique from one another.
