June is a big month for weddings. In theaters now is the bachelor-party comedy “The Hangover” ; opening on June 19 is “The Proposal,” in which Sandra Bullock must marry Ryan Reynolds to get a green card. So that got us wondering: What is the best movie with a prominent wedding, bachelor party or honeymoon theme?

In an upcoming issue of the Post-Dispatch, we’re going to spotlight wedding movies, and we’d like your help. After answering the poll question, feel free to write an extended comment about your favorite, whether it’s on our list or not. The best comment may appear in the paper.

I was torn between My Big Fat Greek Wedding and Philadelphia Story. In the end, Cary Grant will always win.

I was torn myself between “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” and “Wedding Crashers”, but I had to go with “Greek.”

“the graduate” has a wedding in it, but i don’t really consider it a “wedding movie”. whatever, it still gets my vote. that movie is hilarious!

Runaway Bride??? Really…? You’re “punking” us, right?

That was as big a piece of sh** as “27 Dresses.”

Pure Hollywood schlock.

I thought “The Runaway Bride” was a cute enough movie, although never in the running for the best of anything. I’m partial to “Sixteen Candlesa’, because the bride high on Midol was such a classic, but that is mostly nostalgia I must admit. Of these, I would definitely vote for “Mamma Mia!”, because it is so much fun, but there seems to be some glitch on the website–when I came to the page, it went straight to results, and seems to indicate I voted for “The Best Man” which I haven’t even seen.

“Father of the Bride” was sweet, sentimental, and supremely funny with a wonderful, lovable, believable cast. It’s a classic, for sure!
