Track club half, 4-mile

Before we fall hopelessly behind on the local running scene:

Mike Farrell edged Zac Freudenburg in the St. Louis Track Club Frostbite Series half-marathon on Jan. 26. Farrell finished in 1 hour, 11 minutes, 22 seconds; Freudenburg was a second behind. Dusty Lopez finished third in 1:12:45. Sixteen-year-old Natalie Todd won in the women’s division, finishing in 1:27:47. Kate Horan was second and Lisa Lewis third.

Jesse McDaniel won the four-mile race in 20:45. John Aerni, who was second in the Spirit of St. Louis Marathon last year, was second in 21:00. Margaret Lyons won the women’s race in 23:48.

The final races in the Frostbite Series are scheduled at 9 .am. Feb. 9 at the Forest Park Visitors Center. Entry feefor the 15K or 3-mile races is $7.
