Master the Met — all 42 flights
We’re sad to hear that the tenant at the top of the Metropolitan Square Building raised objections to the finishers of the Master the Met fund-raiser for the American Lung Association.
We’ll be brief: This event has been planned since November. The event was set up so that finishers could stay at the top to get a drink and enjoy the view, then depart to get other post-race goodies. The tenant had plenty of time to raise objections and work out a compromise before Saturday morning.
The sour grapes put a damper on the event, which raised $200,000 in its first year. So, despite the brief brou-ha-ha, Jog Blog wants to extend a hearty congratulations to Ryan Humphreys, who finished in 5 minutes 15 seconds, 45 seconds ahead of his nearest competitor, Keith Dowell.
