Another step forward in Katie Sutton’s comeback
Kathleen Nelson
St. Louis Post-Dispatch

Katie Sutton’s comeback continued Sunday when she finished second in the Capitol Hill Classic 3K in Washington D.C.
Sutton finished in 11 minutes, 28 seconds, well ahead of her seven-minute per mile pace in the St. Patrick’s Day 5-mile run in March.
Brief recap: Sutton won the 2007 St. Pat’s run but was diagnosed with breast cancer three months later. Since resuming her training in January, she has kept a detailed, self-effacing and humorous log of her workouts. Katie can make you laugh and cry in alternate breaths, making her comeback story all the more compelling.
