Indy pitches in for Brigette Schutzman

Our colleagues at the Indianapolis Star have written a nice story on a fund-raiser for Brigette Schutzman, the cross country and track runner at St. Louis University who suffered severe injuries in a car accident on New Years Eve. Given a 1 percent chance for survival, Brigette is thriving and hopes to return to SLU soon. The folks in her hometown of Indianapolis have followed St. Louis’ example and staged a fund-raising race. Unlike the event here in April, which feature elite runners, the fund-raiser in Indy was an all-comers 5K.
Brigette’s comeback continues. She isn’t walking as well as she’d like, but she continues to make progress and hopes to run again as well as return to SLU.
