One more weekend triumph: Glass wins Montana Marathon

St. Louis Post-Dispatch

I know. I know. I know. I know. know. I know.

I said I was finished with the busy weekend. But this one is soooooo good. Bryan Glass of the 180 Energy Runners won the Governor’s Cup marathon in Helena, Mont, in 2 hours, 37 minutes, 44 seconds. The victory was his first in a marathon, after several strong performances.

Team captain Jeff Bockhorn reports that Glass, who lives in Normal, Ill., was third at the 16-mile mark but took the lead by mile 20.

“My goal is just to come here and try to run a six-minute pace for the first half, see where I was in the race and then determine what I needed to do at that point,” Glass told the Helena Independent Record. “I knew there was going to be some competition, I figured I’ve never won a marathon, I’ve been second twice, and halfway through the race I was still in third.

“I was thinking, ‘I’m not going to let this happen again.’ “

I wonder what inbev will do with the 180 running team?

If InBev is as savvy and worldly as they’d have us believe, they’d expand the team’s presence internationally.
