Big River Running’s Ben Rosario at Boston University Terrier Invitational Mile

Big River co-owner Ben Rosario finished with the sixth-best time in a field of 132 runners in the mile run at the Boston University Terrier Invitational.

“I”ll take it. I was really, really pleased,” said Rosario. He took a week off after the U.S. cross country club nationals in December, worked on speed drills, then two weeks on mile-specific training.

He hopes to compete in two weeks in the Meyo Invitational at Notre Dame, then at Iowa State the following week. Rosario started 2008 with the goal of a 4-minute mile and performed well at last year’s Terrier.

“I felt like last year I cheated myself last year by shutting it down,” he said. “But with a 4:03, I feel like I’m on the upswing.”
