GO’s race director Lyons impressive in Houston half-marathon

Brian Lyons, race director of GO! St. Louis, finished 26th overall in the Houston half-marathon  Sunday. The Houston half attracts the most elite field of the winter marathon/half-marathons: Olympic medalist Meb Keflezghi, who finished first in 1 hour, 1 minute 25 seconds; Olympic marathoners Dathan Ritzenhein and Brian Sell.

Lyons, also a member of Big River Running, finished in 1:05:57 and broke the team record of Ben Rosario.

Congrats also go to:

  • Bryan Calloway, who finished first in the 35-39 age group of the full marathon, in 2:34:06, 20th overall. Deriba Merga, won the marathon, setting a course record in 2:07:52.
  • Becky Hudnall of Columbia, Ill., who finished 11th in the women’s division, in 1:25:56. The women’s half was won by Olympian Magdalena Boulet in 1:11:47.
