First things first: We’ve received comments on the GO! St. Louis Marathon, but technical difficulties has made seeing them impossible. We’re working on it, and the comments will appear. In the meantime, chew on this one and let us know what you think.

This turnaround is unprecedented in the elite ranks of marathoning. How about Kara Goucher’s moxie? Here’s the report from The Associated Press:

Boston Marathon third-place finisher Kara Goucher wants to keep running. The American is thinking about entering the London Marathon on Sunday.

Goucher’s coach, 1982 Boston winner Alberto Salazar, says it’s long shot. But Goucher has been campaigning since ending the Boston race on Monday.

Goucher was outkicked down Boylston Street by Salina Kosgei after a very slow first 20 miles. Goucher says she feels like she just went out for a jog followed by tough 10K.

Discuss amongst yourselves, then let us know what you think.

If she wants to run, she should run! She trains at 100+ miles per week. If she feels good, she should go for it. If she has a bad race, she’ll learn from it anyway. Go Kara!

I’m with you. Her rise in the marathon ranks has been meteoric, even moreso than Ryan Hall. London would be a learning experience, regardless the outcome.
