NAIA’s elite gather at SIU-Edwardsville for track nationals

For the second consecutive year, the St. Louis Sports Commission has joined with McKendree, Lindenwood and Missouri Baptist universities to host the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, Thursday through Saturday at Ralph Korte Stadium.

Defending champs Azusa Pacific (men) and Wayland Baptist (women) should be among the favorites again. Each won its respective indoor titles two months ago. In addition 25 atheltes are returning to defend their titles.

The event is a bargain for track junkies: $15 for a weekend pass, $6 a day for adults and $4 for students with an ID.
