The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation is joining the ranks of charities that use running events as fund-raisers. The group has chosen to recruit and train a group to participate in the Las Vegas Rock and  Roll Half-Marathon on December 6.

Training for the Team Challenge is scheduled to start in August. The group appears to follow fund-raising and training schedules similar to other large charities, such as Team in Training for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation for its century bicycle rides.

Thanks Kathleen! We are looking for coaches for future seasons, but the headline is a little outdated. Team Challenge is the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation’s new fundraising and training program, specializing in half marathons in great destinations. We have great coaches lined up for this Vegas season, and are looking for people who want to help fight Crohn’s and colitis while training for a great half marathon and meeting amazing people.
