Carter Snow takes first in Macklind Mile
St. Louis Post-Dispatch
Carter Snow of Big River Running took first in Big River’s Macklind Mile on the Fourth of July, finishing in 4 minutes 9.2 seconds. Brian Lyons, race director of the GO! St. Louis marathon, was second in 4:10.9.
The mile is a good, safe distance for a hot, or in this case, rainy, July day. The race finished with a street festival in South St. Louis. Here’s hoping the race becomes a staple of St. Louisans’ celebration of the Fourth.
