Parkway Central’s Sisson, Francis Howell North’s Happe are track athletes of the year

Parkway Central junior Emily Sisson and Francis Howell North senior Nick Happe have been named the 2008-2009 Missouri Track and Field Gatorade Players of the Year.
Sisson anchored Central’s record breaking 4×800 to a state title and won the 1,600 and 3,200 titles in Class 4, setting a state record in the 3,200 of 10 minutes, 2 seconds. She also finished first in the 5,000 meters at the Nike Outdoor Nationals and was second in the 3,000 at USA Track and Field Junior Nationals.
Happe also won the Class 4 titles at 1,600 and 3,200 meters. He finished ninth at Nike Outdoor Nationals in the 2-mile, finishing in 9:02.
