New Anheuser-Busch videos show behind-the-scenes work on Super Bowl commercial
The communications team over at Anheuser-Busch has put together a couple of pretty snazzy videos about two guys who have been instrumental in creating the brewer’s Super Bowl commercials over the years. A camera crew caught up with director Joe Pytka and horse trainer Robin Wiltshire. They are fascinating guys who have worked behind the scenes on big A-B commercials, including one called “Generations.” The spot features a modern day Clydesdale, reflecting on his ancestry and the journey from Scottish farmlands to the Budweiser hitch.
That commercial, and the behind the scenes material being released now, was filmed over three days in November out in Los Angeles. Lager Heads was there as well, and we make a 1/2 second appearance. (We’re still waiting for our royalty checks, fellas. What’s up?)
In the interests of encouraging responsible web-surfing, Lager Heads wants to remind folks that the videos are for adults aged 21 and over.
The videos are here and here, embedded in a new site called www.AB-extras.com.
Note to readers: Lager Heads previously said the “public affairs” folks at A-B had orchestrated the video. That was incorrect, since at A-B “public affairs” is shorthand for government affairs. Different department. LH regrets the error.
