The one-year anniversary of Anheuser-Busch InBev approaches. Lager Heads wants your help
Dear readers:
We are working on a number of stories about the one-year anniversary of the creation of Anheuser-Busch InBev. As of Nov. 18, we will have seen one year of the world’s biggest brewer. We are still sifting through all the changes that have occurred, and anticipating changes that may yet come in St. Louis and other places Anheuser-Busch InBev does business.
Here’s our request: We would love to talk to a wide range of people as we research these stories. If you are a former A-B employee who wants to reminisce, or chat about the job market, we’d be all ears. Likewise, if you’re a current A-B employee and would like to talk about how the past year, and how things are going now. Or, if you’re an A-B distributor and want to discuss performance in the market, and how Anheuser-Busch InBev is weathering the downturn. Or, if you’re just a citizen watching one of St. Louis‘ most iconic companies from the outside — we want to talk to you.
We don’t necessarily need to use your name. But we do want to keep our finger on the pulse of Anheuser-Busch InBev. Please contact us at jmcwilliams@post-dispatch.com.

How about find out when they are going to pay back our 52 Billion dollar TARP money we loaned them to buy the American Icon!! It makes me sick people actually still support a company like this. One that borrows money from the US Citizens only to then layoff 3,000 of US employees so they can raise their Brazilian Executive pay by 91%

What a surprise…
What happened to the 3rd comment? Why did you delete it? Did it have anything to do with a current employee stating Inbev is taking all their benefits away and the internal joke among the employees is “If you want to know where Inbev will be in 10yrs, look across the street at Lemp”? Don’t run a blog partial to Inbev.
In a nutshell:
A formerly first-rate company has been transformed into a third-rate company, run by third-world a-holes.
Please Lady Liberty, since when did Inbev borrow money from the American citizens?? They borrowed from various banks, many based in Europe… and why would that even be bad, at least the banks can recover from this mess America has made with the interest Inbev will pay them!
Are you serious, are you that complacent. Several large banks that borrowed the TAPR money loaned Inbev direct or indirect (through your European Banks) look it up!! Amazing how the deal went through in Nov 08 right after Bush approved the TARP money!!
Yeah…Lady Liberty your words are what everyone thinks at AB but are afraid to let loose and say. I know of at least 4 people personally that have been let go from inBev in the last year. They made good money and it all went to the St. Louis Community. Now there is nothing. I’m sure the cuts will continue and AB-InBev will continue to decline as will the product. As for “b” and “m” they obviously work on the 9th floor and are trying to get their bonus for next year by heading off all the negative PR for Carlos boy.
I don’t work for AB and never have. That company can suck it. They screwed this town and their beer sucks, too. I log on here every day hoping to see news from the world of beer, but all we get is BS cut and paste articles about the color of AB-I middle management bowel movements. I don’t understand how a guy gets a job writing a BEER blog/column and can’t do anything but tell us old stories about the company that makes some of the worst beer in the country.
I am like many current employees how worked their entire career at AB and were 100% loyal to the company. The company left us a year ago and left us with this mess. Moral is terrible and everyone would love to find a new job and leave. The new big wigs keep sending out messages about opportunities, great talent will be rewarded, openess and candor….and no one believes or trust these people. There are more layoffs coming by the end of the year and for the remaining you will never feel comfortable or pround of working for this company. Its a terrible feeling to have every day.
Not sure why the Brazilians don’t get it, happy employees are profitable employees. They are running it into the ground and the next ones who will turn their back on Brito and Company will be the wholesalers. They will not put up with the BS.
Sorry for the typo’s.. banged it out to fast out of frustration.
