O’Fallon Brewery, a small craft brewery based northwest of St. Louis, has distributed its own beer for most of the last eight years. But as of last week, it moved up into the bigger leagues. It tapped Missouri Beverage Co., a St. Louis distributor of beer, wine and spirits, to get its beer into stores and bars.

“We’ve grown to the point where we need to concentrate on the business of making great beer and leave the distribution business to someone who focuses only on that,” said Tony Caradonna, co-founder of O’Fallon Brewery. Fran Caradonna, Tony’s wife and business partner, said the company expects to double sales this year, thanks to the new distribution muscle. O’Fallon sold about 3,000 barrels of beer last year.

as a retiree(not ab), it irks me that all these other retirees thinks every business owes them a freebie or a senior citizen’s discount. when i go to macdonalds for my weekly quarter pounder, i refuse the discount and tell them to give it to a young family that needs it. when 25 cents makes a difference in my life, guess i better just die.

O’Fallon makes some great beers (Gold, and the seasonal Wheach and Pumpkin beers) and none of your money goes to the right-wing loons at Schlafly or the new owners of A-B. It’s my favorite local brewer!

I don’t mix politics with my beer. I don’t care who makes it or who the owners are. Having said that, I am glad that O’Fallon Gold will be available more places now. It is one tasty brew!

O’Fallon 5-Day IPA is a great beer. I also have some of their Goat’s Breath Bock Ale in the fridge right now. They could ditch the Cherry Chocolate debacle, IMHO. I’m glad they’re concentrating on making beer. I hope they can think of a few more styles than the limited line-up they currently offer.

lol, phyllis schlafly has nothing to do with the brewery, and Tom Schlafly is a registered democrat, not that either of those things affect the taste of the beer. If you’re going to take a principled stand against something you should probably know who you’re boycotting.

They have a good IPA but I haven’t tried anything else they do. Not interested in “Weach” beers or stuff like that. Hope they do well though. More St. Louis owned breweries making quality beer the better.

Flavored and fruity beers aren’t my shtick, but that O’Fallon wheach is outstanding!
