Wow, less than three weeks until the start of the Daytona 500. Bill Marx of the Sporting News has been counting down the days.20: Of the 33 Grand National/Cup wins for the No. 20, Tony Stewart has all but one — the first one, which is registered by Marvin Panch in the 1961 Daytona 500. Stewart is 0-for-9 in The Great American Race.
Add to Bill’s note: Stewart had a memorable crash in the ‘01 Daytona 500, the 500 in which Dale Earnhardt died. It’s a wonder Stewart wasn’t killed, too.
