Kenny Wallace Nationwide update for Bristol
Here’s the scoop on St. Louis area driver Kenny Wallace from Jay Robinson Racing …
After Two Off-Weekends, Wallace and Team Border Patrol Rested and Ready for Bristol
Monroe, N.C. (Wednesday, March 18, 2009) - When considering the Wallace family and their racing success, one track first comes to mind: the Bristol Motor Speedway. Each of the three racing Wallace’s have proven a knack for getting around the lightning-fast, high-banked half mile track, including Kenny Wallace, driver of the No. 28 U.S. Border Patrol Chevy.
“Bristol is the type of track where it’s exciting to go to,” the St. Louis, Mo. native said. “The grandstands are packed, and it feels like the earth shakes every lap.”
Wallace couldn’t describe the track any better. The two Bristol races on the Nationwide Series schedule are typically the most action-packed events on the circuit.
Throughout his racing career, Wallace has proven his talent for getting around Bristol, having notched eighteen top-10 finishes at the track in Nationwide Series competition. He’ll be looking to add to that total by the conclusion of Saturday afternoon’s event.
“I feel good about our car, and I think it’s going to be a lot of fun,” Wallace said. “We had that two week break, and we’re ready to go. I’m just thrilled with our Border Patrol team. The cars and pit stops are great, and we’re looking forward to Bristol.”
As always, the U.S. Border Patrol will continue their presence at the track through their recruitment initiative. Throughout the weekend, Border Patrol agents will be present at their mobile recruiting booth outside the racetrack in the midway as they continue their recruitment program. Fans and job seekers are encouraged to stop by and learn more about a career with the Border Patrol.
Saturday afternoon’s Scotts Turf Builder 300 is on schedule for 2:30 p.m., with live coverage on ABC.
