Brad Keselowski Wins Pole

Brad Keselowski and two-time race champion Reed Sorenson had identical qualifying laps, but Keselowski won the pole for Saturday night’s NASCAR Nationwide Series Missouri-Illinois Dodge Dealers 250 at Gateway International Raceway.

Keselowski and Sorenson each had a track record one-lap time of 33.158 seconds at 135.714 miles per hour. But Keselowski gets the pole because his JR Motorsports team is higher in the owner’s points standings at fourth with 2,597. Sorenson, who team is Braun Racing, is 10th with 2,337.

Carl Edwards starts fourth (135.204 mph), Justin Allgaier is 13th (134.084), Steve Wallace, son of Winston Cup champion and former St. Louisan Rusty Wallace starts 24th (133.018), Kenny Wallace is 33rd (132.630) and Mike Wallace starts 35th (132.446).
