Hendrick horsepower will win at Texas
The Hendrick Motorsports drivers have been looking strong in practice this week at Texas Motorspeedway for the Samsung 500, with all four of its drivers plus Tony Stewart and Ryan Newman in Hendrick-powered cars ranking in the top 12 in first practice, tho Dale Earnhardt Jr., Stewart and Newman dropped out in the final practice.
Still, I’m picking a Hendrick car to win in the U-PICK’EM RACING CONTEST!: points leader Jeff Gordon.
It’s also a good weekend for Columbia, Mo.’s Carl Edwards — the winner of the past two Texas races — to challenge for a race win. I’m picking Edwards second. And I think Dale Reutimann’s effort this year is no fluke, and I’ve got him in the top 10, too.
