Until terrorists play by rules, we shouldn’t have to
Thank you President Bush and all other Missouri Republicans for vetoing the Anti- Waterboard Bill, HR 2082, which is a bill before Congress that would not allow the CIA to use waterboarding as a tool to obtain information from terrorists. Every Missouri Republican voted in favor of the President and every Mo Dem voted against the President except for Claire McCaskill who did not vote, but has made statements supporting the ban on waterboarding.
Waterboarding was used on Abu Zubayda who was captured in March 2002 after weeks of not cooperating, he had a divine revelation after 30 seconds of warterboarding. Mr. Zubayda informed the CIA that Allah had told him to give up the needed information. After this divine revelation Mr. Zubayda gave information on where the CIA could find Khalid Sheikh Mohammad. You all remember him, he was the mastermind of the Sept 11, 2001 attacks on the United States which killed 3000 citizens. The editors of the Post Dispatch should also remember him for personally beheading REPORTER Daniel Pearl. Khalid Sheikh Mohammad was in turn waterboarded and gave up more information used to arrest and detain more terrorists. When al queda, hammas, hezbollah, and the rest put on uniforms, stop having mentally disabled people strap bombs to themselves, decapitating unarmed prisoners, and walking into schools and killing unarmed children I will support HR2082. Until then wake up America the far left will lead to the defeat of this great Nation.

Sad how many of my countrymen quake in their boots when faced with religious fanatics in Middle Eastern cultures, so much so they will embrace torture techniques worthy of the Spanish Inquisition. Let’s race to the bottom of the barrel so to equal their depravity; why limit our techniques to mere water-boarding? What of the rack, or pouring acid in their eyes? Any number can play, and why consider it despicable? I suppose it is only the old fashioned among us who see torture as wrong. I realize the two gentlemen above are part of the current Amen Corner in the Brave New World Order…

I am for anything that saves American lives, and that means even yours. If waterboarding saves 1 life, do it. Stop being a bleeding heart liberal that sees everything wrong with this Country. I never cease to be amazed at the Looney Left’s’ unwavering support of terrorists and uncompromising refusal to take any measures necessary to keep terrorists from killing more innocent people. Khalid Sheikh Mohammed is a perfect example of why these measures are effective.

Incidentally, I am pretty liberal on most social issues- pro-choice (though I am not a fan of abortion, I believe it must be kept legal), pro stem-cell research, pro-gay rights, etc. But I’ll be damned (as Rev Wrong might say) if I’ll endanger the safety of innocent people just to save a terrorist some discomfort which he could have avoided completely by answering the questions in the first place.

I just can’t get over this sentence. 1937 German, are you for real? Our country was attacked by Middle Eastern religious fanatics, but the fact that they should never be allowed to commit such atrocities ever again has nothing to do with where they’re from! If terrorists groups were attacking us from Mexico I would expect our government to go into Mexico and extinguish those groups.
Really, does the thought of more terrorist attacks on US soil NOT have you quaking in your boots? Does this not worry you at all? And if you could take action to prevent this from happening, wouldn’t you? Oh wait, I guess you wouldn’t. Wouldn’t want to harm any terrorists, after all.
