Campaigns are using a tried-and-true scare tactic to win

St. Louis Post-Dispatch

The Clinton and McCain campaigns have re-discovered something that can be used to scare the hell out of most white Americans, with the added bonus that it works against their opponent, Barrack Obama. That weapon is, of course, the angry black man. This time it is the Rev. Jeremiah Wright but it has in the past ranged from Huey Newton & the Black Panthers all the way back to Nat Turner, who led the infamous slave insurrection of 1831.

The one thing they all have in common is that they are black and angry at us white folks. What makes them even scarier is that we know they are very legitimately angry because we have, and still are, pretty much screwing them over. Yes, I know that things are far better today than at any time in the past; after all it has been years since we actually lynched a black man - now we just prefer symbolic nooses (see Jena 6) rather than actual ones, but let’s be honest folks, they still get the short end of the stick far more often than us white folks.  After all, when was the last time you drove through a white ghetto?

So if things work out as planned the election in November will be between two white candidates and we can all pat ourselves on the back because one will be a woman, ignoring the fact that Hillary is trying her best to downplay that fact. When was the last time she appeared on the stump in a dress? And we will get to elect a President who is just another creature of the inside-the-Beltway machine that keeps turning out cookie-cutter politicians. God knows we don’t want anybody truly different, someone who might try and motivate us to make REAL change since we are all more-or-less comfortable in our little white world. After all, change is scary. Remember the ‘60s? I do! Exciting, terrifying, exhilarating, infuriating, but at least we made a difference, for awhile.

Well tell us John, how do we make it all better?

Wont electing Obamessiah put the race bating poverty pimps who say whitey is holding the black man down out of business? Or will Obamessiah’s whiteness get him elected?
A new poll says that 32% of Billary supporters wont vote for Obamessiah if he gets the nomination, are they all suffering from racism? I didnt think democrats could be racisits.

You’re joking, right? You actually think the Clintons, in cahoots with Republicans, went back in time 20 years and introduced an impressionable and eager budding politician by the name of Barack Obama to the minister of a politically connected church in Chicago to scare heck out of white folk?

Rove, you magnificant b@@@@@d!!!

McCain = SOCIALIST!!!

Yesterday, McCain announced his plan for the GOVERNMENT to pay for NON-PROFIT risk pools for everyone who is low-income or unable to purchase insurance due to pre-existing conditions.

Are Repub heads exploding all over America today?

“Are Repub heads exploding all over America today?”

Exploding in laughter over dimbulbs that can’t see the difference in helping the needy and universal coverage for Cialis or Viagra for Warren Buffett and Bill Gates Sr.

Icono,
Let me break it down for you. McCain wants people to buy health insurance on their own, not through an employer. Once he gives everyone a $5000 tax credit, most employers will drop health insurance coverage. How many people in this country have a pre-existing condition? Those people can only get insurance through an employer, but could not buy it on their own. All of those people will have to get coverage under McCain’s Guaranteed Access Plan … and they are not necessarily poor. If Warren Buffett or Bill Gates have pre-existing conditions, they can get coverage through McCain’s Guaranteed Access Plan. On the government’s dime.

Actually, I think Bob Herbert got Rev. Wright just right in this morning’s column. The guy has flipped. He’s got a national platform for once in his life, and he’s see just how outrageous he can get. Ignore him. He’s just a blowhard. What’s funny is watching all the right wing bloviators talk about him: he’s stealing their show, that’s all.

The only difference the national platform has provided for Wright was the obvious fact that he was a pastor playing the religious saps and Obama was a politician, playing the voting saps. Everything else has been going on for the last 20 years and was recorded for posterity. Right wing bloviators are only enjoying the hell out of the Democrat’s circular firing squad.
