Carter’s dance card is full, but he could make room for bin Laden

St. Louis Post-Dispatch

In a dank, smelly cave near the Afghanistan/ Pakistan border, a pair of eyes shine in the darkness. Behind those troubled eyes, Osama bin Laden frets and fumes over his failure to be vile and disgusting enough to have earned a visit from former US President, Jimmy Carter.

Don’t give up hope Osama, his dance card is currently full and his terrorist address book has been temporarily misplaced but be assured, he will meet with you, sooner or later.

Robert,

Carter is responsible for this mess.

It’s 29 years late, but at least he did something this time besides appease for 444 days.

Let’s hope he doesnt attempt another Operation Eagle Claw.

JD,

What truth? Only fantasy by the writer, as the same with the Bush administration concerning everything with the Iraq evasion by the Bush administration, with the exception of all that real money (billions) that has been paid and is being paid to certain special ones with the right connections.

In hindsight, it is obvious that none of these ones really cared about a plan to get out or win because of all the money being made. The oil would have been a big bonus, to finance the war, but the contracts to Haliburton was worth causing the U.S. to go financially under for the benefit of a few. Now, JD, this truth should crush, hurt and devastate, but because it would do just that, better to stay in denial and call anyone who sees it as it really factually is as unpatriotic, hate America, conspiracy nuts, and any other attempted demeaning term you can come up with, right?.

In fact, maybe the writer should lead the front line to go capture Osama bin Laden out of that smelly cave that he is so sure he is hiding in.

It appears that this country has gone globel without any preparation for doing so. Our citizens, even the ones who consider themselves educated (Ivy League schools) are a joke compared to international and foreign students who are well travelled and diverse in different languages. Our citizens are unprepared to compete on a global basis.

The best move Americans can take is to learn the language of these global countries who will soon own us and figure out what skills, jobs will be useful and start preparing our children. I truly feel that it will become necessary for those who can leave this country to leave.

Thanks for the enlightenment, but Black Sabbath’s “War Pigs” has got you by a good 30 years.

PLEASE give very specific examples for this “with the exception of all that real money (billions) that has been paid and is being paid to certain special ones with the right connections.”

Jimmy Carter was the worst president in HISTORY. He failed at everything he did. Rampant inflation, double digit intrest rates and double digit un-employment, gas lines and he couldn’t get our people back from Iran.

Get real sir.

JD, you forgot, Mr. Peanut gave away the Panama Canal as well.

Well, let’s see….we can have a Nobel Peace Prize laureate who brokered Israel’s historic peace agreement with Egypt three decades ago….or we can have George W. Bush who said three years ago; “The Middle East is a haven for those who don’t like us or our people. We’ve gotta understand the awesomeness of it”.

Brilliant.

Si Vis

Thanks, I forgot about the Panama Canal. Wish I knew where you worked.

The Peace Prize is a joke. Carter and Al Gore are both jokes.
