Legislators ought to listen to the people who deal with domestic violence every day
St. Louis Post-Dispatch
Tammy Gwaltney’s powerful argument against executing child rapists shows that those who actually work with the victims of that horrendous crime know more than our state legislators about how damaging a death penalty law would be. Instead of grandstanding and trying to look like the toughest gang member in the room, the legislators ought to listen to the people who deal with domestic violence every day. Senate Bill 1194 is a really bad idea.
